Term 4 Basic Facts Improvments


My Reflection
This is my weekly basic facts chart! 
 Through out this year a have made a good progres. I found basic fact ultra easy as my gradma helped me with my times tables years ago. My next step is to work out harder multi digit questions just as fast.

My Reflection
I am learning to convert between improper fractions and mix numbers . I found this too simple as I already learned this by myself at home. My next step is to convert between challenging decimals, fractions and percentages.

Basic Facts Process Term 2


My Reflection

IALT improve my basic facts. I found today’s test extra easy because I do the same basic facts test every week. I Am happy about my process as I always get 100% for every test and managed to finish the test before the expected time. My next step is to solve hard not so basic facts just as fast by asking the teacher to give me more challenging not basic facts tests.

I feel descent with my progress because its improving each time.
My next step is to continue practicing harder basic facts for homework,

Geometry-Polyhedra


My Reflection

I am learning to construct models of polyhedron.
It was easy to build my pentagonal pyramid.
Candy, Brooklyn, Moana and Mila helped me to build icosahedron.
I can explain the features of a polyhedron.
Next time I will construct another polyhedron.

My Reflection

Walt identify and describe 3 D shapes using Mathematical language. I found this easy because it just telling the name faces and edges and that all it is. My next step is to do it without pictures.

Using Place Value to Solve Multiplication Problems


My Reflection

In this piece for work I was learning  use split numbers into tens and ones and I can multiply by tens.
I found this piece of work easy because it just 42 x 8 and we just make it in to 40 x 8 and 2 x 8 which is like year 3 math. My next step is to use smarter ways to solve the problem.

I was learning decimals, fractions and percentages.
I had to match the decimals and fractions.
I thought it was hard but it turned out to be easy. Because I got some help.

I chose to share my learning by creating a Post.
My next step is to understand what is different about decimals and fractions.`

Equal Additions Strategy

My Reflection

I have been learning to use equal addition to subtract 3 digit numbers. I found this work easy because it easy ween we are doing 480 - 120= just because its a great strategy so I do't need to think about like 999-576 which is very easy. My next step is to do it with decimals.

 I have been learning to solve multiplication problems with 2 digit numbers . I used place valve to solve this problem . I found this easy because I know my place valve so I can use it . I have been learning to collect data using a tally chart and show the results on a bar graph.  I found this easy because tally marks are easy to do.  I was surprised that so many people loved New Zealand My next step is to learn how put information onto different types of graphs.

I found this tricky because decimal is not like a normal number.

Reading the time correctly



Reflection I have learnt to read the minutes of analogue clock correctly.  I need to work on putting  the 01 to 12 number or the hour first.   I also need to work on using the words past and to instead of reading just the numbers.
